Great news for millions of Delhi Metro passengers! The DMRC has decided to simplify the online ticketing system. Passengers can now receive QR tickets on their mobile phones through Amazon Pay. On Thursday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced a partnership with Amazon Pay. This move is expected to make ticket payments easier for passengers.

Metro passengers can now choose the Delhi Metro QR ticket option under the Amazon Pay tab. They need to select their departure and destination stations, then make an online payment to receive the QR ticket instantly on their mobile phones. Officials stated that this unique ticket system allows passengers to buy metro tickets easily while on the move, offering a quick, contactless, and hassle-free experience for millions who travel daily by Delhi Metro.

Delhi Metro officials stated that passengers need to hold their smartphones in front of the QR code scanner at the AFC gate to enter and exit the metro stations. DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar mentioned that partnering with Amazon Pay for QR tickets will make daily travel easier and more efficient. He added that this system provides convenience, reduces paper waste, and supports their efforts to be more environmentally friendly.

Anuradha Agarwal, Director of Amazon Pay India, said, "We're excited to launch the Metro QR ticket system on Amazon Pay, making travel easier for millions. This removes the need for tokens and cash when buying tickets." Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of DMRC, noted that the Metro carries about 6.5 million passengers daily across various routes in Delhi-NCR. This new ticket system will be very convenient for them.
