Ban on Land Sales to Outsiders

To protect farmers, the GDA will soon enforce Section 11 of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. This law will stop the sale of land in the villages to prevent outsiders from buying it and reselling it at higher prices. The villages affected by this are Nagla Firoz Mohanpur, Morta, Bhaupur, Ataur, Champat Nagar, Shamsher, Bhaida Khurd, Mathurapur, and Shahpur Morta.

Township Plan Approved in August

The GDA approved the plan for the Harnandipuram Township in August. Surveys have already started to measure the land. Rajesh Singh, the GDA Secretary, said the land sale ban will help ensure that farmers get a fair price for their land and aren’t taken advantage of by speculators.
