"What are your thoughts on the movie trailer? If you don't provide us with 2.5 million dollars, we will cause large explosions on buses, trains, taxis, temples, hotels, and public areas throughout Karnataka," alert 1 read.

Furthermore, the email mentioned that the perpetrators demanded a ransom of $2.5 million (equivalent to more than Rs 20 crore) to abstain from executing the explosion. Subsequently, a suo moto case concerning this matter was registered later on the same day.
