Illegal Tractor Race In Punjab Leaves 4 Injured After Collision With Bystanders | WATCH
Police reported on Sunday that four people were injured when a tractor crashed into bystanders during an illegal tractor race in Phagwara, Punjab.
Jalandhar Range Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Harmanbir Singh Gill stated that eleven men were charged, with three of them arrested, for organizing an illegal tractor race in Domeli village. The injured individuals were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Gill mentioned that charges have been filed against the individuals under relevant sections of the IPC, such as 308 for attempted culpable homicide and 279 for rash driving. Additionally, three tractors were confiscated.
Police named the injured bystanders as Gaganjit Singh from Babeli village, Amit from Rehana Jattan village, and Gurpreet Singh from Munna village. They also noted that the tractor driver, Jaspal Singh, sustained injuries in the accident.
The DIG stated that the Punjab government has banned all such races, including those involving tractors, dogs, and cockfights.
