The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts in Kerala from June 14 to June 16. They also predicted light to moderate rain for Delhi NCR over the next few days, with light rain expected in Delhi and Noida until July 17.

The IMD issued an orange alert for three northern districts in Kerala on Saturday as heavy rains hit several areas of the state.

The IMD issued an orange alert for Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod, and a yellow alert for nine other districts in Kerala for the day. They also predicted thunderstorms with moderate rain and gusty winds in parts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, and Ernakulam districts.

On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, and Satara in western Maharashtra, warning of extremely heavy rainfall on July 14.

The MeT department issued an orange alert for Thane district for Sunday and a yellow alert for Mumbai, predicting moderate to heavy showers in the city and suburbs with a chance of very heavy rain in some areas. They also issued a yellow alert for the rest of the state.

The IMD stated that Kerala will experience widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the next five days due to a cyclonic circulation over north Gujarat and another over the west central Bay of Bengal.

Due to the weather alert, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) advised people not to stand or park under trees, warning that strong winds could uproot trees or cause branches to break and fall.
