Delhi Police is taking a firm stance against farmers blocking the Singhu Border, aiming to prevent any possible entry into the national capital on their tractors. Police and RAF personnel at Singhu Border have been instructed on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding the ongoing 'Delhi Chalo' protest by the farmers.

During the briefing, the forces were instructed that in case the farmers become aggressive, there is no necessity for them to adopt a defensive approach either.

The briefing emphasized the need for the forces to prioritize their own protection and to push back the farmers if necessary. They were instructed to convey to the farmers the importance of not breaching the barricades. Additionally, the use of tear gas shells to disperse the protesters was recommended. The forces were reminded not to provide any weak points that could be exploited by the farmers to enter with their tractors, even if the protesters choose to sit at the border.

Over 5,000 police personnel, including paramilitary forces, have been stationed in border regions such as Tikri, Singhu, and Ghazipur to uphold law and order. Various farmers' associations, primarily from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, organized a protest on February 13, urging for legislation to ensure Minimum Support Price.

On the Haryana border, videos captured police employing tear gas to suppress protesters attempting to breach barricades.
