Jhansi Man Beats Old Mother, She Holds His Feet, Viral Video Gets Him Detained

A video of a man beating his old mother is doing rounds on social media. Before watching it, if one speculates a genZ kid doing it and is prepared to preach about how the last generations behaved, the bubble has to be busted. The man from Jhansi is a 50-year-old who was seen beating his 90-year-old mother in a recent video that has been circulated on the internet.

Man assaults his mother

In the viral video, the man brutally assaults his old mother and she falls on the floor. The son doesn't spare her even then and she holds his feet and pleads mercy. He then throws a splash of water on her. The small clip is heartwrenching and disturbing.

According to the reports, Udal, the man beats his mother Benibai frequently. He is an alcohol addict and this beating is quite a routine. It was this time that someone recorded this offensive incident and posted it on social media after which the UP Police took cognisance of it.

Delving into the family

Benibai's husband used to work at Indian Railways and died long back. She has three sons, the elder two live in the Talpura locality in Jhansi whereas the youngest one, Udal, lives with her mother in the Ambabai area of the same district. The poor lady also gets a pension from the government on behalf of her late husband but it is Udal who takes it.

Neighbours reported that the incident of thrashing and assaulting the old woman is a common norm in the family. Udal's evening ends up with alcohol and he is habitual of it. After the video surfaced on social media, the Jhansi police detained Udal and further action is underway.

Speaking on the issue, the SP of Jhansi said that the police would speak to the victim to record her statement. Both parties would be called for counseling. The police have been intimated about the drinking habit of the accused.
