He also mentioned that the police did not find any clues about the murder.

Kerala Police confirmed the death of the lady

On Tuesday, police confirmed the death of Kala, who went missing 15 years ago at the age of 20 from her husband's and parents' homes in this coastal district.

The confirmation followed an extensive search and evidence collection by police, including the opening of two septic tanks at the missing woman's husband's residence.

Alappuzha SP Chaitra Teresa John stated that a case has been filed, and the police currently suspect the involvement of the woman's husband, who is currently in Israel.

When reporters asked the teenager if he had contacted his father, the main suspect in the case, he replied that his father had reassured him not to worry about the developments.

Teen spoke about his father too

"He told me not to worry about the current situation," he said, adding that his father won't come back to the country because he has debts and needs to stay abroad.

Meanwhile, Soman, a laborer who assisted the police in gathering crucial evidence from the septic tank on Tuesday, expressed suspicions that someone had poured a chemical substance into the tank.

"I've been working with septic tanks for years. So, I can tell when I enter one if chemicals have been poured in. In this case, some chemical that can dissolve stones and human bones was poured in," he told a TV channel.

He mentioned that suspected human bone fragments, along with a locket, a hair clip typically used by women, and a dress elastic, were discovered inside the septic tank during his search. These items were handed over to the police for further investigation.

Anil Kumar, the woman's brother and an auto driver, expressed shock over the recent revelations. He stated that he had never harbored any suspicions about the accused's behavior until now.

"If they have done something wrong, they should receive the appropriate punishment," he said.

Police had stated that five individuals were already in custody in relation to the case, and their arrests would be officially documented soon.

Law enforcement initiated an investigation several months ago upon receiving an anonymous letter. The letter alleged that the woman's husband had murdered her and buried her body in the septic tank of his residence.
