Maharashtra SHOCKER: Body Of 3-Year-Old Accident Victim, Buried In Secrecy, Exhumed After 18 Days

Sindhudurg Accident: On Friday, the police exhumed the body of a three-year-old girl, who had died in an accident over two weeks back at Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra. But her death had not been reported to the authorities.

Driver Arrested For Fatal Accident And Evidence Tampering In Malewadi

The Maharashtra police arrested the dumper truck driver who allegedly crushed the girl to death in Malewadi, Sawantwadi tehsil, charging him with the accident and destruction of evidence, a police official said. Her parents are migrant workers from Chhattisgarh.

Driver, Accomplices Buried Girl's Body After Fatal Accident

He said that, following the girl's death in the August 5 accident, the driver and his assistant, in league with the parents of the girl, buried her body. Following a tip-off, district police launched an investigation and, with court permission, dug up the body.
