According to the police, the 29-year-old passenger had allegedly consumed 'bhang' prior to boarding the flight. He also engaged in an argument with the airline staff just minutes before the flight was scheduled to land at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad.

The man was arrested after the airline staff lodged a complaint. Although the incident occurred on May 21, it only came to light on Friday.

When the IndiGo flight departed from Indore, the crew noticed the man's unusual behavior and moved him to a different seat. After some time, he insisted on sitting next to his two friends, with whom he had traveled to Indore on a pilgrimage. Although he behaved normally for a while after the crew acquiesced, he eventually misbehaved with another passenger, according to reports.

Noticing his "weird" behavior, the airline staff and some co-passengers intervened to prevent him from opening the door. The accused, Anil Patil, a resident of Chandragirinagar in Gajularamaram, had traveled to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh with his friends.

Patil is reportedly suffering from "health issues," and medical reports were submitted. Taking this into account, station bail was granted to him, a police official at RGI Airport Police Station said on Friday.
