How To File Refund?

To initiate the refund, one needs to file a TDR, which stands for Ticket Deposit Refund. As per the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) rules and regulation, the passenger needs to file a TDR within four hours of missing the train. Delay in filing a TDR, won’t make the person eligible for refund.

People can log in to IRCTC app and file the TDR online. After logging in they need to click the train option and then click on the file TDR option.

The option of file TDR will appear on the screen and as you click it, the ticket will appear. People need to select their ticket and click on File TDR.

After selecting the reason for TDR, TDR will be filed and refund will be initiated within 60 days.
