Murder for a NO?

Neha, a first-year student of MCA died after being stabbed multiple times on the college campus in front of shocked students. The CCTV footage shows Fayaz stabbing her before fleeing.

Father of the deceased, Niranjan Hiremath, who is Karnataka Congress's corporator, said that Fayaz attacked his 23-year-old daughter for refusing his proposal. She stayed away from him and mentioned that she didn't like him. This rejection didn't go well with her classmate Fayaz who in avenge killed her.

Love Jihad matter ignites

This triggered the debate of Love Jihad and the opposition parties, particularly the BJP, hit out at the Siddaramaiah-led Congress govt accusing it of doing politics of appeasement and sidelining the law and order.

Congress refutes father from Congress

While the BJP leaders have outrightly spoken on this murder of a Congress corporator's daughter, the Congress govt. has something different to say. It firmly refutes the allegations of Love Jihad and state home minister G Parameshwara labels it as a mutual relationship. Wiping out the scope of Love Jihad, Parameshwara said that it doesn't seem so.
