Power Outage Alert: Multiple Regions In UP To Experience Cuts On August 14

UP Power Cut: Several areas in Uttar Pradesh will have a power cut on Wednesday, August 14. The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) announced that the outage will last from 5:30 am to 8:00 am. This is needed for repair work at the 132 kV powerhouse in Sarai Bhagmani, Gauriganj, and Amethi.

About two lakh consumers across 14 power substations will be affected by the power cut on August 14. Mukesh Kumar, Executive Engineer of the Electricity Transmission Section in Sultanpur, said the repairs are important for public safety and advised consumers to finish any urgent tasks before the outage.

The power cut will affect areas including 33 KVA Gauriganj Tehsil, Amethi, HAL, Mamta Steel, Jamo, Gauriganj Rural, Barnatikar, Bahorkha, Pithipur, Musafirkhana Tehsil, Benipur Tehsil, Hatwa, Malik Mohammad Jayasi Hospital, and Kauhar.

In a related update, UPPCL has enhanced its process for handling consumer complaints. Starting now, public hearings will be held every Monday. During these sessions, all Executive Engineers (XEN) and Superintending Engineers (SE) will be available in their offices from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
