Raebareli 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results: Dinesh Pratap Singh, the BJP candidate in Raebareli, writes a heartfelt letter conceding his defeat to Congress's Rahul Gandhi. The Congress won 17 times out of 20 elections held in Raebareli.

In 2019, Sonia Gandhi, representing the Congress party, won the Raebareli Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh state, securing 534,918 votes. She defeated Dinesh Pratap Singh of the BJP by a significant margin of 367740 votes. 

In 2014, voters elected Sonia Gandhi as the Member of Parliament from the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. She secured 526,434 votes representing the Congress party, defeating Ajay Aggarwal by a substantial margin of 352,713 votes. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the closest rival party. The voter turnout in 2014 stood at 51.73 percent.

Rae Bareli, situated in the Lucknow division of Uttar Pradesh, lies 80 km southeast of Lucknow and serves as the primary business hub of the state. The city boasts numerous ancient structures such as forts, palaces, and mosques, adding to its architectural charm. Notably, this constituency has been represented by Indira Gandhi.

Several industries, with the Indian Telephone Industries of the Central Government being the prominent one, have set up operations in Rae Bareli. Tourist attractions like Behta Bridge, Indira Garden, Dalmau, and Samsapur Bird Sanctuary draw visitors to the area.
