Rajasthan: 14 Miners Rescued After Being Trapped in Copper Mine Due lift Malfunction
Rajasthan: 14 miners who were feared trapped in a copper mine in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district following a lift malfunction have been rescued safely. They were provided with oxygen and other essential items during the rescue operation.
As reported by India Today, the incident occurred when a lift used to transport miners to and from the mine's depths suddenly failed. The malfunction left workers stranded approximately 500 meters below the surface.
State disaster response teams and local authorities were dispatched to the site. "Our immediate priority is to ensure the safety and rescue of the trapped miners," said a spokesperson for the mining company. "We are working closely with rescue teams to expedite the operation."
