Reliance Jio, Airtel Price Hike: How The New Rates Affect You

Reliance Jio and Airtel have raised the prices of some of their data packs by more than 25 percent. As a result, both prepaid and postpaid customers will face higher charges as the new plans are now in effect from today (July 3). This price increase affects millions of users of India's two largest telecom companies. Despite the hike, Reliance Jio and Airtel will continue to provide monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.

Airtel has introduced new prices for several of its popular plans, aiming to balance affordability with enhanced service offerings, according to the company. Some of the notable revised plans include:

• 1GB/day (28 days): Now costs ₹299, up from ₹265.
• 1.5GB/day (28 days): Increased to ₹349 from ₹299.
• 2GB/day (28 days): Now priced at ₹409, previously ₹359.
• 1.5GB/day (84 days): Revised to ₹859, up from ₹719.
• 2GB/day (84 days): Now priced at ₹979, previously ₹839.
• 2.5GB/day (365 days): Now costs ₹3,599, up from ₹2,999.

Reliance Jio's revised plans:
Reliance Jio has two annual prepaid plans, one previously priced at ₹1,559 and the other at ₹2,999. After the price hike, the ₹1,559 plan will now be available at ₹1,899, and the ₹2,999 plan will be sold for ₹3,599. Key changes for Reliance Jio users include:

• 2GB/day (28 days): Now costs ₹349, previously ₹299.
• 1.5GB/day (28 days): Increased to ₹299 from ₹239.
• 3GB/day (28 days): Price remains unchanged at ₹449.
• 1.5GB/day (84 days): Revised to ₹799, up from ₹666.
• 2GB/day (84 days): Now priced at ₹859, previously ₹719.
• 3GB/day (84 days): Increased to ₹1,199 from ₹999.
• 2.5GB/day (365 days): Now costs ₹3,599, up from ₹2,999.
