A retired teacher's house in Tamil Nadu was robbed, with the thief taking some cash. While this might seem like a routine incident, the police later discovered a note at the scene that left everyone shocked. In the note, the thief explained a compelling reason for the theft and made a promise to the retired teacher.

79-year-old Chitirai Selvin, who lives in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, and his retired teacher wife have four children. On June 17, after hiring a maid, the elderly couple left their son's house. When the maid arrived at their house on Tuesday, she discovered the theft and immediately informed the police.

Upon investigation, the police found that ₹60,000 in cash, two gold earrings, and some silver jewelry were missing. They also found a note from the thief, promising to return the stolen items within a month. The note read, 'Please forgive me. I will return everything within a month. There is a sick person at home.'
