Satish Chandra Dubey, Rajbhushan Chaudhary: Why Has Modi Trusted On These New Faces From Bihar?

Narendra Modi is taking oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. All eyes were on which faces from Bihar would be included in Modi's cabinet. Eventually, along with PM Modi's tea party, the veil has been lifted on which eight individuals from Bihar will find a place in his cabinet. Among these eight, two names come as a bit of a surprise because there were no speculations about them whatsoever. Now that their names are out, it is being said that considering the caste dynamics because of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025, these two faces are extremely significant.

BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Satish Chandra Dubey from Uttar Bihar has been given an opportunity in Modi's cabinet, who is considered a strong Brahmin leader. Satish Chand Dubey is currently a Rajya Sabha MP. Representing the Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha constituency, Satish Chandra Dubey served as a Member of Parliament from 2014 to 2019. After not receiving a ticket in 2019, the BJP leadership sent him to the Rajya Sabha. Before becoming an MP, Satish Chand Dubey has also been a legislator from Chanpatia and Narkatiaganj.

Another name being included in the Modi cabinet that has surprised many is that of Dr. Rajbhushan Choudhary Nishad, who hails from the extremely backward Nishad community in Muzaffarpur and became a Member of Parliament for the first time. Rajbhushan Choudhary had recently joined the BJP after leaving the VIP party, and the Bharatiya Janata Party nominated him. He secured a remarkable victory in the Lok Sabha elections, which earned him this reward. His inclusion in the cabinet is seen as a setback for Mukesh Sahni, who leads the Nishad community's politics.

Rajbhushan Choudhary Nishad is a doctor by profession. In addition to his medical profession, Rajbhushan Nishad is associated with the Nishad Development Association for a long time. Speaking of his political career, he came into contact with Mukesh Sahni in 2017 and progressed in politics. In 2019, he contested against Ajay Nishad on VIP's ticket from Muzaffarpur, but lost by more than 400,000 votes.
