Suraj Revanna Faces Medical And Psychiatric Examinations Today In Assault Case

Karnataka MLC Suraj Revanna, who was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a male JD(S) party worker, will likely have a medical test and psychiatric evaluation on Tuesday.

A urologist, a forensic specialist, and a physician will conduct the tests at Bowring Hospital. The victim, who was allegedly assaulted by Suraj, has already undergone 15 medical tests.

Suraj will undergo around eight different tests. The Karnataka MLC will have a potency test, kidney and testicle tests, a sexual competence test, and a DNA test.

Forensic experts will collect his hair samples and examine his hair, clothes, and other items.

If bite marks are found on the victim, experts will compare them with Suraj Revanna's dental impressions.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken Suraj Revanna into custody from Parappana Agrahara prison until July 1.

Suraj allegedly assaulted the party worker on June 16 at his family's farmhouse in Gannikada. An FIR was filed against him on June 22, and he was arrested the next day.

The case was later transferred to the CID.

Suraj Revanna is the elder brother of former JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who has also been arrested for rape and sexual abuse.
