INDIA Bloc Forming Government? Rahul Gandhi Answers
As India looked on to see who will come out on top in the Lok Sabha 2024 Elections, Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi addressed the media in a special briefing at the AICC Headquarters on June 4. With the results going in the opposite direction to that of the exit polls, there were many surprises being witnessed as the counting progressed on the day.
Congress' Rahul Gandhi Addresses The Media
While addressing the media, both Kharge and Gandhi were delighted after seeing how the results of the Lok Sabha polls were turning out to be. Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge were also joined by Sonia Gandhi who was looking pleased with what she was seeing in the counting trends as well.
Rahul also gave a special mention to the Uttar Pradesh citizens who according to him have made a well thought decision in terms of where their vote goes to. He also attributed the good performance to his sister Priyanka Gandhi's work in the state as well.
According to the latest Election Commission trends, Rahul Gandhi is ahead by 2,27,535 votes in Rae Bareli against his closest competitor, BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh. In Wayanad, he holds a lead of over two lakh votes. Rahul Gandhi represented the Amethi Lok Sabha seat from 2004 to 2019. In the 2019 general election, he lost Amethi to BJP's Smriti Irani but won a seat in the Lok Sabha from Kerala's Wayanad.
