The Indian Meteorological Department IMD) has forecasted heavy rain across different states in the coming week. Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places across Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The Delhi sub-divisions Narela, Bawana, and Akshardham may experience light to moderate rain.

The Indian Meteorological Department issued heavy rainfall warnings to West Bengal and Sikkim for the next week.

Light to moderate falls with fairly widespread rain is predicted for the week in Konkan and Goa. The same pattern awaits Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat, where fairly widespread to light to moderate rain is expected till September 29. Heavy fall alert has also been sounded for Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch on September 28 today.

According to IMD, heavy rainfall is expected to occur over Assam & Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, and Kerala on September 29.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to face heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 28 and October 2. Other regions with heavy rainfall alerts include:

  • Bihar: Heavy rain anticipated on September 28
  • Northeast India: Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura can expect heavy rainfall from September 30 to October 2
