A 23-year-old woman from Maharashtra is facing legal action for allegedly traveling to Pakistan using a fake passport and visa. The woman, identified as Nagma Noor Maksood Ali, also known as Sanam Khan, hails from Thane.

According to a report by news agency PTI, Nagma Noor Maksood Ali allegedly changed her name and obtained an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and her daughter's birth certificate from Lokmanya Nagar in Thane. She then submitted these forged documents to apply for a passport.

Police stated that she managed to secure a passport based on these fraudulent documents and subsequently traveled to Pakistan. The incident reportedly occurred between May 2023 and May this year.

The authorities have now registered a case against the woman. Additionally, the police have booked an unidentified man in connection with the case. Both individuals have been charged under the Indian Passports Act, and an investigation is ongoing.
