New Delhi: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the former chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and a former BJP MP, has asked the Delhi High Court to dismiss the FIR and charges against him in a sexual harassment case filed by six women wrestlers. Brij Bhushan Claims Unfair Investigation And Wrongful Charges

Singh argued that the investigation was unfair because it only considered the victims' claims, who he believes want revenge against him. He said the charge sheet was submitted to the court without checking if the accusations were false. The former WFI chief claimed he is being wrongly accused and has not committed any of the alleged offenses. On May 21, the trial court charged him with sexual harassment, intimidation, and violating women's modesty.

The court also accused Vinod Tomar, the former WFI assistant secretary and co-defendant, of criminal intimidation. The Delhi Police filed an FIR against Singh in May 2023 following the Supreme Court's intervention.
