A big boost to the Indian cricket team, the bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur returns on the field after his successful surgery in London. He had an ankle surgery on June 12 and has been out of competitive cricket since then.

With his return on big stage, it boosted India's arsenal ahead of the long Test season, especially for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

So far, Shardul played 11 Tests in which he scored 331 runs with the highest score of 67 runs and scalped 31 wickets with a best bowling figures of 7/61.
