Earlier this week, former India captain Sourav Ganguly endorsed Gambhir for the head coach position, calling him "a good candidate." Gambhir was speaking to a group of students at Medeor Hospital in Abu Dhabi when one student asked about coaching the Indian cricket team and leveraging his experience to help them win the World Cup. Gambhir responded, "I have not answered this question, although many people have asked me. But I have to answer you now."

On a personal trip to the UAE, Gambhir visited the sports medicine department at Medeor Hospital. During his visit, he interacted with young cricket enthusiasts from various academies in Abu Dhabi, sharing insights from his inspiring journey and recent accomplishments.

Gambhir, a crucial member of India's 2007 World T20 and 2011 ODI World Cup-winning teams, was praised for his recent success with the KKR.
