Javelin Throw: Pakistan is basking in the glory of the historic victory of Arshad Nadeem in the recently concluded Paris Olympics. The star javelin thrower won a gold medal for Pakistan, marking the country's first-ever top honor in an individual sport at the Games. Arshad's victory was even more impressive as he set an Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters. The nation, along with its government, had immense faith in him, and he rewarded that trust with an outstanding performance.

Arshad Nadeem advocates for local needs

'My village needs better roads. It would also be wonderful if the government could supply cooking gas for us. I have a dream that Mian Channu gets its university so that our sisters won’t have to travel 1.5 to 2 hours to Multan for their education. If the government establishes a university here, it would be fantastic news for my village and the surrounding areas,' Arshad told reporters.

In addition to addressing these issues, Nadeem also expressed his gratitude to the government for its support.

Arshad, the son of a retired construction worker, has faced many hardships due to financial difficulties. As a child, he relied on financial help from villagers and relatives to travel to other cities for training and events.

Just a few months ago, Arshad had asked the authorities to replace his old javelin with a new one to support his training.
