Government and IOA Response

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya addressed Parliament, confirming Vinesh’s disqualification due to weighing 50kg and 100 grams, which is over the limit. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) lodged a strong protest with United World Wrestling (UWW). IOA President PT Usha is in Paris, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged her to take necessary action. Despite extensive support and facilities provided to Vinesh, she now returns empty-handed.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed the development, requesting privacy for Vinesh Phogat.
