Their winning streak began with a 20-run victory against Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground. They continued their success with a 12-run triumph against Delhi Capitals in another home match. The team then traveled to the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai for their first away game and comfortably defeated Mumbai Indians by six wickets.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have had a challenging start to their IPL 2024 campaign, currently occupying the eighth position on the points table with just one win and three losses in four games. They began their season with a six-wicket loss to defending champions Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. While they secured a four-wicket victory against Punjab Kings at home, they suffered defeats against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets and Lucknow Super Giants by 28 runs in their recent matches.
