Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India and opener for Mumbai Indians, criticized Star Sports for airing his private conversations without permission. He expressed his dissatisfaction on his official social media account, urging the broadcasters to use better judgment rather than exploiting exclusive content for broader viewership.

Before the IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, a conversation between Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar went viral. In the video, the 37-year-old appeared to suggest that this might be his final season with the Mumbai Indians. However, the video was quickly removed.

Ahead of the game against Lucknow Super Giants, another video surfaced showing Rohit Sharma instructing against recording his conversation with Dhawal Kulkarni.

Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to criticize Star Sports for recording his conversation despite his explicit request not to do so.

In IPL 2024, Rohit Sharma concluded his season with a notable performance, scoring 68 runs off 38 balls against the Super Giants, despite ending up on the losing side. The Nagpur-born cricketer had a decent season with the bat, accumulating 417 runs at an average of 32.08 in 14 matches.

Rohit's return to form bodes well for the Men in Blue ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to begin on June 1st.
