Irish Cricketing Star In ICU: A Battle For Life Off The Field

These days, an Irish cricketer of Indian origin is fighting a battle between life and death. This Irish cricketer is suffering from acute liver failure. Currently, this cricketer is being treated at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram and the player is admitted in the ICU.

Yes, we are talking about Ireland's top all-rounder Simranjit Singh aka Simi Singh who is currently fighting a battle between life and death.

Relatives Gave Information About The Cricketer's Health

According to the Times of India report, cricketer Simranjit Singh's father-in-law said that when Simi was in Dublin 5-6 months ago, he got a strange kind of fever. This fever kept coming and going. When he got himself examined in Ireland itself, no major result related to the disease came out. Due to which the doctors there did not even start his medication.

After which due to delay in treatment, Simi's condition kept deteriorating. After which we decided to come to India to get him better treatment.

This is a terrible news. India-born Ireland cricketer Simranjit Singh, a.k.a. Simi, is suffering from liver failure and is waiting to undergo transplant for 'acute liver failure' at a private hospital in Gurugram.

After coming to India, his treatment started in Mohali but he did not get any relief there either. In a private hospital in Mohali, it was told that Simi has TB. His condition kept deteriorating and later Simi was advised to get treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

Simi Singh was born in Punjab

Simranjit Singh was born in Mohali, Punjab. Simi Singh has played Under-14 and Under-17 cricket for Punjab, although he did not get a chance to play Under-19 for Punjab. After which Simi decided to go to Ireland in 2005 to study hotel management.

But little did he know that cricket was not going to leave him even there. In 2006, Simranjit Singh was included in Ireland's Malahide Cricket Club.
