KKR vs SRH: In the Qualifier 1 match of IPL 2024 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Sunrisers opted to bat first and posted a total of 159 runs before being bowled out in 19.3 overs.

The innings began on a rocky note with Travis Head being dismissed for a duck by Mitchell Starc. Abhishek Sharma also failed to score on the big stage and fell prey to Vaibhav Arora. Rahul Tripathi contributed significantly with a brisk 55 off 35 balls, maintaining a strike rate of 157.14, but was run out in a mix-up.

Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed couldn't make an impact, both falling cheaply. Heinrich Klaasen added a valuable 32 runs off 21 balls, while Abdul Samad struggled with 16 runs off 12 deliveries. Sanvir Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also failed to score, leaving the Sunrisers in a precarious position.

Pat Cummins, the captain, provided some late innings fireworks with a quick 30 off 24 balls, but his efforts were cut short by Russell. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth remained not out at the end with 7 runs off 5 balls. Extras contributed 7 runs to the total.

The Kolkata Knight Riders' bowlers were effective, with Starc and Varun Chakaravarthy being the standout performers. Russell, Narine, and Harshit Rana each took one wicket, helping to restrict the Sunrisers to a manageable score.
