French forward Kylian Mbappe is all set to sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid from next season in a transfer which has been stretched for a few years now. The 2018 World Cup winner could be seen as a part of a lethal attack in Madrid featuring the likes of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabeu. With PSG struggling to keep him at bay, Real seem to have finally got what they wanted and will have their French star next season.

Football's most awaited tranfer saga is set to be completed this summer with 2018 World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe set to join Real Madrid after this season.

Introducing himself to the footballing world, French stalwart Kylian Mbappe made a significant impact during the 2016/17 Champions League, particularly in the last 16 match against Manchester City managed by Pep Guardiola, where he showcased his talents starting from the left flank.

At Monaco, where he rose to prominence at just 18 years old and scored 26 goals, Radamel Falcao held the position of the central striker.

Upon his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for a staggering 140 million euros, Mbappe joined forces with Edinson Cavani and Neymar to form a formidable attacking trio. Despite predominantly playing on the wing, whenever Cavani was absent, Mbappe seamlessly transitioned into the striker role.

Mbappe has expressed his discomfort with the central striker position, feeling restricted in his movements and preferences. He conveyed this sentiment to coaches such as Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, and Christophe Galtier.

The Frenchman finds more freedom playing for the national team, where he is not confined to a specific role like at PSG. He operates as a dynamic forward, exploiting spaces left by Olivier Giroud's presence as the central striker.

Mbappe's versatility has been evident this season, where he has excelled as a goal scorer, even when deployed in different positions on the field. His ability to adapt has minimized the need for additional strikers in the team.

Luis Enrique's strategy for Mbappe involves granting him absolute freedom on the field, allowing him to roam between defenders and operate from various positions.

How Real Would Only Benefit From Mbappe's Arrival?

Looking ahead to his potential move to Real Madrid, Mbappe could potentially thrive in a central striker role under Carlo Ancelotti's management, complementing the likes of Vinicius and Rodrygo on the flanks.

Alternatively, Mbappe could also be integrated into a tactical setup similar to Galtier's 'MNM' formula, where Messi was the playmaker and Neymar played alongside Mbappe in the front. Similarly, Mbappe could be seen starring with Vinicus at the front with the phenomenal support of Jude Bellingham from behind, should Real Madrid pursue such a strategy after Karim Benzema's departure.
