RCB suffered their fifth loss of the season, becoming the first team to reach that mark in this edition of the tournament. Throughout the match, RCB appeared completely disorganized, unable to contain any of the MI batsmen. Even players like Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma, who batted lower down the order, immediately found boundaries with their first balls, highlighting Mumbai's assertive chase.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru had posted a challenging total of 196/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Faf du Plessis led the charge with a brilliant 61, supported by useful contributions from Dinesh Karthik. However, Mumbai Indians' bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah's impressive spell of 5/21, kept the scoring in check and picked up crucial wickets at regular intervals.
