Paris Olympics 2024: Day 13 will be crucial for India at the Paris Olympics as Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra competes in the men's javelin throw final. Chopra qualified for the final with a huge throw of 89.34 meters on his first attempt, which was also his season's best. No other javelin thrower surpassed him in the qualification round. Chopra has the opportunity to become only the fifth man in Olympic history to defend his javelin throw title and the first Indian to win multiple gold medals in singles events if he can repeat his success from Tokyo in Paris.

India's men's hockey team will compete in the bronze medal match after a narrow loss to Germany in the semi-final on Tuesday. Harmanpreet Singh and his team fought hard until the last second but lost the match 2-3. They will now face Spain in their quest to win the bronze medal for the second consecutive Olympics.

After the disappointing disqualification of Vinesh Phogat from the gold medal match, the other Indian wrestlers will compete again on Thursday. Aman Sehrawat and Anshu Malik will begin their campaigns in their respective round of 16 matches.

Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will compete for India in the women's individual stroke play round 2 golf event.
