Nikhil Chindak: A dynamic skating champion of passion, purpose, and resilience

The world has witnessed the rise of several professionals across industries that have stood tall and distinctive from the rest for reasons more than one. However, among them, a few rare gems fight tooth and nail to do more and be more with the genuine aim to create a lasting impact on others worldwide. Serving as one of the finest examples is Nikhil Ramesh Chindak, who, from his humble beginnings as a young and dynamic athlete, has brought great glory to India as a professional roll ball player and inline roller skating champion.

Hailing from Belgaum, Karnataka, and going ahead in making India’s name prominent on a global map in sports, this young guy is all about his love for sports, resilience, and a powerful purpose to ignite the fire within other up-and-comers in the sporting world. Nikhil Chindak is known today for holding six Guinness Book of World Records and being a South Asian Roll Ball World Champion, among numerous other accolades.

There is a reason this dynamic young athlete is a celebrated figure in both sports and community service arenas. His unwavering leadership as a Rotaract leader and President of Belgaum South has also created an equal impact on society, especially on aspiring athletes from Karnataka and beyond - be it through the 81-hour Skatethon promoting COVID-appropriate behavior, the ‘Khel Zara’ initiative, a World Record holder, or his ‘Cheer for India’ project aimed to uplift Olympic sportsmen, which earned him accolades from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

His rise in the skating world began with his awe-inspiring, record-breaking performances, where he has also made his mark in the Asia Book of Records. His innumerable accomplishments as a South Asian Roll Ball World Champion and participant in multiple World Cups highlight his phenomenal talents and unwavering dedication toward the sport.

His participation in two World Cups, one Asian Championship, and the South Asian Khel have further solidified his position as a young sporting champion. As the sole qualifier from Karnataka, he has brought honor and recognition to his state and India on a global stage.

Nikhil Chindak has been an active member of the Rotaract community since 2015 and has held several positions, including President of the Rotaract Club of Belgaum South. He is the District Rotaract Representative Elect (DRRE) of RID 3170. He now aims to mentor aspiring athletes and Rotaractors, sharing his experiences and strategies for success.
