The Indian spinners then rose to the occasion as they held Bangladesh at 222. This was one final match which showcased both teams at their all-time resilient talent in Asia Cup history.

In this edition of the Asia Cup, Shikhar Dhawan was named "Player of the tournament" for scoring 342 runs in 5 matches at an average of 68.40.
