PAK vs BAN: Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in second Test

The Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru took a savage dig at Pakistan, using the Indian cricket team's reference following Pakistan's disastrous 0-2 whitewash at the hands of Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan had earlier lost the series opener by 10 wickets on August 25 - their first-ever defeat to Bangladesh. In the dead rubber, they were defeated by six wickets in the second and final match of the series on Tuesday.

RCB Takes A Dig At Pakistan

Pakistan came into the series, hoping to make a claim for a spot in the World Test Championship final, with two series at home against Bangladesh and three against England could be just the way to pull that off. But, their hopes were convincingly thwarted by an inspired Bangladesh side, who recorded their fourth Test series clean sweep and second away from home. While Pakistan have found it hard to gain success at home, having not won a Test since February 2021, when they completed a whitewash against South Africa. This loss stretched the winless streak for the team to 10 matches - their second-longest drought.
The loss was followed by RCB taking a dig at Pakistan, saying winning at home isn't quite as 'easy' as it is made to look by the Indian team.

Team India's Home Record

Since the defeat to England in 2012, India has won 17 successive Test series at home. It's an outstanding record all the more so considering the next best home series winning streak is 10, achieved by Australia, twice between 1994-2000 and 2004-2008. In this period, India played 50 Test matches on home soil and out of them, the team managed to win 39 and lost just four; two against Australia and England each. India's next home Test series is against Bangladesh, starting September 19, with a series against New Zealand scheduled at the end of October.
