Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelloti has informed that his side will not be taking part of next year's FIFA Club World Cup after qualifying for it after lifting their 15th UEFA Champions League title this year. Carlo Ancelotti believes that FIFA has underestimated the compensation they should receive for participating in the competition. The revamped Club World Cup, which is expected to be held in the United States at the end of the season, will feature 32 teams, including the top 12 from Europe.

Real Madrid To Reject FIFA's Invitation

Real Madrid, recently crowned Champions League winners, will not accept the invitation to the Club World Cup, according to their manager Carlo Ancelotti. In an interview with Italian newspaper Il Giornale, Ancelotti stated that FIFA should not expect Los Blancos to participate in the tournament. He argued that a single Real Madrid match generates 20 million, the same amount as the prize money offered. Ancelotti suggested that many other clubs would also refuse the invitation.

"FIFA can forget it, footballers and clubs will not participate in that tournament," Ancelotti told Italian daily Il Giornale in an interview published on Monday to coincide with his 65th birthday.

"A single Real Madrid match is worth 20 million and FIFA wants to give us that amount for the whole cup. Negative. Like us, other clubs will refuse the invitation."

With European competitions expanding to 36 teams next season, the Club World Cup faces criticism for contributing to an overcrowded football schedule. Ancelotti acknowledged the significant pressure on managers currently, noting that this pressure led to Jurgen Klopp stepping down from Liverpool. However, the Italian manager said he copes by keeping his passion for the game alive.
