Rohit Sharma On The Move To LSG? LSG Coach Expresses Wish To Sign Hitman

Despite of Mumbai Indians getting their season started with their first win after 4 games in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), the question of their former skipper Rohit Sharma switching sides next season still lingers around the corner.

There is unrest within the Mumbai Indians camp, which has become increasingly apparent. The decision to switch captains from Rohit Sharma to Hardik Pandya has not been well-received by certain fans, leading to Hardik facing criticism and negative reactions from spectators at various stadiums during the ongoing IPL 2024 season.

Speculation has arisen suggesting that Rohit might be contemplating a departure from MI ahead of the IPL 2025 season. While these rumors are premature, there are indications that the Lucknow Super Giants are eyeing the possibility of acquiring the services of the Indian national team captain.

LSG interested in Rohit's signature

In a video posted on their YouTube channel, the Lucknow Super Giants were seen discussing the prospect of pursuing Rohit Sharma in the IPL 2025 mega auction. During the conversation, LSG coach Justin Langer was asked which player he would choose to sign if given the opportunity.

Rohit Sharma joined the Mumbai Indians for the first time in the IPL 2011 season. Throughout his 13 seasons with the franchise, Rohit has played a pivotal role in securing five IPL titles for MI, captaining the team to victory in all of them. The future intentions of Rohit, commonly known as the Hitman, remain unclear. However, with the upcoming mega auction for the next season, it appears likely that Rohit's tenure with the Mumbai Indians may come to an end after the current season.
