Rohit Sharma To Leave Mumbai Indians After IPL 2024, Not Happy With Hardik's Captaincy

Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma will be leaving the 5-time champions after the IPL 2024 season. The current Team India skipper, who has won 5 titles as a skipper for the Mumbai franchise, has decided to change colours after this year.

Rohit Sharma Not Happy

According to News 24 Sports (Vaibhav Bhola), an MI player has informed that Rohit Sharma is unhappy with Hardik Pandya's captaincy which has caused a rift in the dressing room as well. The results not going in the favour of MI makes it even worse as criticism has surrounded the team who are rock bottom in the league table.

According to the source, many decisions are being argued between the two players which is not allowing a good team atmosphere in the dressing room. Mumbai have lost all three of their IPL games so far, including a home game against Rajasthan Royals which wasn't taken well by the fans as well.

Change In Captaincy

While the change in captaincy midway through the season is possible, Hardik will likely get at least 2 more games to change things around before a change in leadership is done.

There wouldn't be any team who would not like to have the Hitman in their ranks which makes the next auction that much more interesting.
