Rohit Sharma, renowned for his witty remarks, made a memorable comment just before initiating a DRS review during Day 3 of the fourth Test match against England in Ranchi. In the 30th over of England's second innings, a delivery from Ravindra Jadeja struck Ben Stokes' pads, prompting an LBW appeal that the umpire dismissed. While Jadeja was confident it was hitting the stumps, wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel thought it was drifting down the leg side. Rohit, persuaded by the discussion, urged the team to think critically before using the review.
"Kuch seconds baaki hain, sab log dimaag lagao (Only a few seconds left, put your heads together)," he was heard saying on the stump mic.
Despite this, the review ultimately proved unsuccessful. The commentators found Rohit's comment amusing, with veteran cricketer Dinesh Karthik remarking, "We now understand how DRS conversations unfold."
India staged a comeback with wickets falling at regular intervals, but England maintained a lead of 166 runs at tea on the third day of the fourth Test. Ravichandran Ashwin's three wickets in quick succession halted England's momentum, although opener Zak Crawley's impressive 60-run knock propelled the visitors forward. England lost key batsmen, including opener Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, and skipper Ben Stokes, reaching 120/5 at tea. Kuldeep Yadav also contributed with two wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja had some tough luck with decisions not going his way.
In the earlier part of the day, India was bowled out for 307 runs in their first innings, with Dhruv Jurel narrowly missing out on his maiden century, falling for 90 runs from 149 balls, including six fours and four sixes.
