Rohit played a crucial role with the bat from the Super 8 stage to the final against the Proteas, while Kohli saved his best performance for the big game. Kohli announced his retirement from T20I during the post-match presentation, followed by Rohit's announcement in the post-match press conference.
In his Instagram post, Sachin reminisced about watching Rohit and Virat mature and achieve greatness throughout their iconic T20I careers.

Competing in six World Cups and clinching victory in the last one is an experience I know well. I hope to see you continue winning matches for India in the longer formats of the game," Sachin added.
Kohli's 76 off 59 balls helped India set a target of 177, and excellent death-over bowling from Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya turned the long-held dream into reality for the team.
