Following Team India's T20 World Cup match against Canada, the team's traveling reserves Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan will return home from the current T20 World Cup, according to a report. Gill, Avesh, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed made up the four-person traveling reserves, accompanying the team to Florida as a precautionary measure.

Team India To Release Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan From T20 World Cup?

A Cricbuzz report indicates that Gill and Avesh were only scheduled to be part of the US leg of the tournament unless any unforeseen injuries occurred. With three consecutive wins in the group stage, Rohit Sharma's team comfortably advanced to the Super Eight stage. India is set to face Canada in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday in the final match of the US leg.

India leads Group A after victories over Pakistan, Ireland, and the United States. However, unfavorable weather in Florida could disrupt India's winning momentum as they prepare for the tournament's Caribbean leg. Rinku and Khaleel are expected to travel with the team to Bridgetown, Barbados, where India will play their first Super Eight match on June 20. The remaining Super Eight matches are scheduled for June 22 in Antigua and June 24 in St. Lucia.

Both Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan had been kept in the travelling reserves alongside IPL winner Rinku Singh. Shubman and Avesh will be released from the team ahead of the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup as th4e action switches to the West Indies now.
