UP T20 League: Rinku Singh smashed 39 off 12 balls

Rinku Singh, star player of Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League (IPL) and captain of Meerut Mavericks in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League, put up an outstanding display of batting skills. During the match between Meerut Mavericks and Lucknow Falcons on Septermber 1. The captain of the Mavericks, Rinku, went berserk as he scored 39 runs in just 12 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 325.

Starting with a boundary, Rinku kept attacking till the very end as he smashed three fours and four sixes. But his blowing contribution was not enough as Lucknow Falcons won the rain-affected match by eight wickets with one ball to spare.

Meerut Mavericks posted a competitive total of 142/1 in their allotted 11 overs due to rain. But the Lucknow Falcons chased down the revised target of 154 runs in 11 overs, courtesy of a flying 95-run opening partnership between Harsh Tyagi and Samarth Singh off only 39 balls, which set up their victory.

Lucknow Falcons' Match Winning Performance

Not to be left behind, in support, Harsh Tyagi also did much with his 49 runs in 22 balls, laced with six fours and two sixes. Samarth Singh was brilliant for Lucknow, making 69 off just 27 balls, studded with nine boundaries and four sixes. Singh also shared a vital 57-run partnership with Kritagya Singh in just 25 balls to give a boost to his team.

Zeeshan Ansari removed Samarth Singh in the final over when two runs were needed off three balls. The Lucknow captain, Priyam Garg, strode in at No. 4 to seal a win with a four off his first ball as this final stroke sealed an edge-of-the-seat encounter.
