As for the match, USA's victory propelled them to the top of Group A with two wins from two games, ahead of their upcoming clash against India. In their opener, USA had defeated Canada by seven wickets.

Opting to field, left-arm spinner Nosthush Kenjige took three wickets for 30 runs, making it difficult for Pakistan to accelerate, and they were restricted to 159 for seven.

In response, USA matched the score, finishing at 159 for 3. Skipper Monank Patel (50 off 38), Aaron Jones (36 not out off 26), and Andries Gous (35 off 26) led the chase from the front.
