Following their arrival in Delhi and a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian team traveled to Mumbai for a celebratory parade and a felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium.

The parade, which stretched from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium along Marine Drive, drew huge crowds of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the T20 World Champions. The turnout was so massive that Marine Drive came to a standstill, prompting the Mumbai Police to issue a traffic advisory on Twitter, urging citizens to avoid the area.

Thanks to the diligent work of the Mumbai Police, the parade went off without a hitch, earning widespread appreciation. Kohli posted a message on X, commending the police for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the event's smooth execution on Thursday.

Kohli enjoyed the parade, receiving the trophy from an exuberant Hardik Pandya and displaying his infectious energy. He was seen taking photos throughout the bus ride. At Wankhede, Kohli fondly recalled hugging Rohit Sharma on the stairs to the dressing room after their final victory, a moment he said he would treasure forever.
