However, the most recent update from former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik showed that the rain has covered the ground with water but there are indications that the sun will be showing up soon in order to let the games begin.

Dinesh Karthik shared a post on the social media platform 'X' showing the condition of the ground where the semi-final is to take place in a few moments. He captioned the video by saying 'Not so good at the moment  Rained heavily when we were on our way and it's drizzling now But good news is , the. Sun is peeping out'

His update which scared the fans didn't last for too long as Dinesh posted another video just moments after which showed a ray of hope for both the English players and fans. The video showed the Guyana stadium being lit by sunlight and few to no visuals of water in the outfield.
