'Why Did He...', Shubman Gill Urges Ed Sheeran To Pose The Question All KKR Fans Want To Ask SRK
Singer Ed Sheeran recently posted a video on his YouTube channel documenting his time in Mumbai, India, where he explored the city with Tanmay Bhat, a comedian and YouTuber, and Shubman Gill, a cricketer. In the video, Sheeran expressed his anticipation about meeting Shah Rukh Khan later that day. Gill mentioned his past involvement with Kolkata Knight Riders, an IPL team owned by Khan, and jokingly encouraged Sheeran to inquire why he wasn't retained in the team.

In the YouTube video, Ed, Tanmay, and Shubman were seen at a restaurant trying Indian delicacies. Ed mentioned his plan to have dinner with Shah Rukh Khan that evening. In response, Shubman mentioned his past involvement with Shah Rukh's team. When Ed expressed surprise, Tanmay clarified that Shah Rukh owns an IPL team called Kolkata Knight Riders, where Shubman used to play.
Shubman then added, “Ask him why did they not retain me". Following Shubman's comment, all three of them burst into laughter. Ed then mentioned that he had met Shah Rukh once before and had watched many of his films. He explained that whenever he travels, there's usually a Bollywood section on flights, so he has seen quite a few of Shah Rukh's movies.

Ed previously shared a video on his Instagram featuring himself and Shah Rukh recreating the latter's signature pose. The caption read, "This is the Shape of Us. Spreading love together…."

During the final leg of his +-=/x Tour (Mathematics), Ed Sheeran performed at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on March 16. Singer Diljit Dosanjh joined him on stage, and together they performed Diljit's hit song "Lover."
