Apple Vision Pro: Major Upgrade Rumored For Next-Gen Model - Check Details

Apple Vision Pro: The next-generation model of Apple Vision Pro is set to enter mass production in the second half of 2025, reported MacRumors citing Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The report further claims a major upgrade in the next-generation model. The Report states that the new model will carry the inclusion of Apple's M5 chip and this will be a substantial upgrade from the M2 chip that powers the current generation Vision Pro.

However, the report said that the hardware specifications and the overall design of the Vision Pro will largely remain unchanged in the next generation. The expected price of the next-generation Vision pro could be around $3,499.

Apple Vision Pro: Features Expected

MacRumors cited Bloomberg's report which states that Apple plans to introduce Apple Intelligence features to the Vision Pro headset in the future and make the device capable of running on-device AI functions such as writing tools, notification summaries, and an upgraded Siri. However, these features are not expected to arrive in 2024 and Apple may reserve the Apple Intelligence integration for visionOS 3, which might be launched in 2025.

Apple Vision Pro: Current Generation

The current generation of Apple Vision Pro is powered by an M2 chip and comes with a 8 8-core CPU, 4 performance cores, and 4 efficiency cores. It also has a 10‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine, and 16GB unified memory.

Talking about the battery, the battery lasts for up to 2 hours in general use, video watching up to 2.5 hours, and it can be used while charging the battery.
