Upcoming phone launches in May 2024: Top smartphone brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Motorola, and Google are gearing up to unveil several new devices in May 2024. Smartphone enthusiasts are anxiously awaiting the release of some much-anticipated handsets, that will soon hit the market. While April has witnessed the launch of various flagship devices, here’s what May 2024 could have in store for smartphone fanatics:

Vivo V30e

Vivo is scheduled to launch its much-anticipated V30e on May 2. The smartphone will come in Silk Blue and Velvet Red colour options and will boast an elegant design, advanced camera features, and Ultra-Slim 3D Curved display. The dual-camera setup will include a 50MP Sony IMX882 portrait lens and a 50MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM will power the Vivo V30e, which will run on the Android 14-based OS.

OnePlus Nord 4

OnePlus is rumoured to be working on the OnePlus Nord 4, the successor to the Nord 3 and could arrive in May 2024. Though details about the device are scarce, rumours suggest that it will be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V and could cost below Rs 35,000. The expected features of the OnePlus Nord 4 include up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Samsung Galaxy F55

The Samsung Galaxy F55 is another smartphone expected to be launched in May 2024 and it could be a rebranded version of the Galaxy M55 5G. Although details about the smartphone are unavailable, it is expected to offer impressive features and specifications in the mid-range segment. The device is expected to be priced at Rs 26,999.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 50 Ultra after the success of its Edge 50 Pro smartphone. The Edge 50 Ultra will get impressive features like a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 144Hz display, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. In terms of optics, the Edge 50 Ultra is expected to give an outstanding experience to those who love photography. The camera setup is likely to include a 50MP primary lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.

Google Pixel 8a

The Google Pixel 8a is among the highly anticipated smartphones. This device could potentially be launched during the Google I/O conference on May 14. Rumours suggest that the Pixel 8a could be equipped with the Tensor G3 chipset and will have seven years of security updates. Along with robust security features, the Pixel 8a aims to offer a smooth experience to users.
